Peatlands was amazing! We stayed in the Curlew Hut, and it was truly such a lovely stay we had! The hut is decorated beautifully, and the outdoor area with a picnic bench and fire pit was ideal. The location was brilliant, so close to the causeway coast with endless things to do! Emma was so lovely and helpful, she greeted us as we came and left which we really appreciated. It is clear to see how much Emma and Pete have put into these huts as everything felt like it had a purpose, which made it feel even more special! (Pete’s cookies were a lovely touch and delicious!!) I would definitely recommend Peatlands to stay in if anyone wants a peaceful, beautiful location that’s on natures door

I cannot recommend staying at Peatlands enough! We had the best time and were sad we had only booked for one night. The pricing was so reasonable given how comfortable, clean and modern the cabins were. Emma was so friendly and even came out into the pouring rain to greet us on arrival (with umbrellas!!!). We wished we had asked for breakfast as the bakery looked amazing and us onsite. The fires in the cabin were amazing and easy to use, firewood and fire lighters are provided. There is a projector in the rooms which is so easy to use and a screen is provided which takes seconds to set up. We truly had the best night’s stay and was so so sad to leave. I highly recommend staying here, there is so much to do nearby like the Giants Causeway, Dark Hedges and Carrick-a-rede rope bridge. We will be back for sure!!!

I came across the existence of Peatlands by what I now consider to be divine serendipity! It is the most beautiful and perfect hideaway; the grounds themselves will draw you in to peace (a pond, willow tree arch in the making, trees and plants and the sound of birds ever-present) but once you step inside the hut, everything invites you to breathe out. I came for some solo writing time and spent three nights in Sundew hut with its friendly wood-burning stove (name: The Hobbit!) where everything is perfectly proportioned and thoughtfully curated. The simplicity is an incredible draw and yet it really is a luxury stay - all the materials in the space are soft and welcoming (think bedding , throws, thick wool curtain, extra blankets, rugs underfoot - they even provide “cosy socks”). So too, any products they leave for use are environmentally friendly - you really can relax here and feel that other people have done the thinking for you! You don’t have to order breakfast but I was very glad I did. Pete’s Artisan Bakery is on site, and every morning I awoke to a pastry delivery on the doorstep. Little wonder they’ve won awards for these bakes. Combined with their home-made granola and museli, fresh orange juice and yoghurt from a local farm, just really enjoying eating breakfast was another invitation to slow down. (Equally, I confirm that their hot chocolate add-on was well worth it!) The huts feel secluded from the outside world, so they’re a perfect environment to work from (wifi etc), away from the requirements of normal life. Yet, brilliantly, a fun jaunt out for a breath of fresh air is super easy. Less than 15 min drive away, you have your pick of vast beautiful beaches - or the perfection of Maegden deli (copious supplies from around the world for later / a pretty sumptuous cheese toastie). Sitting on the deck at the table in the winter sun being distracted by birds; reading by the fire watching a hare loping up the path under starlight; walking from the hut door to a wild and magical ancient bogland - these are things I hope to experience again! Thanks Emma Pete and Zadie for creating a slice of heaven.

I cannot recommend Emma & Pete’s Peatlands huts enough. The huts have everything you might need and then some (a projector, ukelele, fairy lights, welcome cookies, the list goes on, everything is thought of!), and are very warmly decorated. The highlight though is the personal looking after by Emma & Pete, with handwritten notes, recommendations, and a fantastic breakfast baked by Pete. Very close to all of the Causeway Coast, it’s the perfect base to explore from and then come back to to relax!

We had a perfect stay in Curlew hut and Emma was so lovely! We bought the sourdough on arrival and the breakfast bakes and they were amazing. We loved every bit of it and would definitely recommend. We will be back!

One of the most incredible places we have stayed. I could not recommend Peatlands more highly! We had the most beautiful time and were beyond impressed. Emma and Pete were such thoughtful and welcoming hosts. Every little detail has been carefully thought out from the design of the huts to the check-in/check-out procedure. We felt completely at home even for just a one night stay and wished we could've stayed longer. The huts were immaculately clean and had every single thing we needed (and the hosts were so accommodating that I'm sure they would sort out any issue that ever arose for a guest - if there ever was one). The homemade & locally sourced breakfast was a real highlight (bread & pastries baked by the family on site). The hut felt so much bigger than it looked whilst also having such a cosy feel. Thanks so much Emma & Pete!

Highly recommend Peatlands! Perfect location, beautiful surroundings and the Shepherd Huts are stunning. You can tell from the attention to detail that so much love has gone into making the huts the perfect cosy retreat. Emma and Pete have created such a gorgeous space. We are already looking forward to our next visit. We feel so lucky to have found this hidden gem on the Causeway Coast.
